37 year old Sam Duckworth has been making music as Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly for 18 years.
The bohemian teenager is now a fully fledged adult. It’s been an action packed adventure so far, following the music first and never afraid to speak his mind, making tunes with friends and heroes alike.
From Nitin Sawhney, to Shy Fx, Lily Allenand Baaba Maal, the Get Cape chronicles are diverse and rich in experimentation and poignant lyrics. Proudly from Southend on Sea, Sam has found home behind the desk, at SS2Recording, producing the latest full length from Benjamin Francis Leftwich and recent cuts with Noah Finnce and Kate Nash. Duckworth is enjoying making music with Afrobeat legend Dele Sosimi as part of the Estuary 21 collective, producing and co-writing songs, that have found their home on BBC 6 music and Jazz FM playlists, as well as a visit to the prestigious BBC Maida Vale studios.
Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly is out to play this summer, back in his natural habitat, on stage, live and direct.
