We are pleased to announce that applications for artists to perform and showcase at Manchester Folk Festival / English Folk Expo 20-22 March 2025 are now open!

Previously the event happened in October but is moving to the following March to accommodate the festival team’s role in delivering WOMEX 2024

English Folk Expo is the annual showcase for folk, roots and acoustic music in England. Approximately 200 music industry representatives from around the world come to Manchester to watch a range of artists from this broad and diverse genre.

We can only accept applications from artists based in England or who are English, unless there is a formal partnership in place with a country or territory.

All selected showcasing artists receive a fee and an Artist Pass which permits access to the Un-Convention events, some festival shows and the EFEx trade fair. Artists also receive a full listing (including booking contact information) in the delegates’ app. Please note – showcasing artists do not receive a delegate or festival pass.

We would strongly encourage artists or their representatives to purchase a Delegate Pass to maximise the showcase opportunity.

English Folk Expo anticipates to make offers to successful applicants throughout Spring-Summer 2024.
