More artists and events announced for Manchester Folk Festival 2023

Today we are thrilled to announce a very special chance to see Manchester locals The Breath perform a very special collaboration with the D&B Soundscape system – a 360 degree, fully immersive PA which surrounds both performers and audience. We announce this alongside a solo show by Michele Stodart (of The Magic Numbers), touring her new album due for release in September.

Other artists announced today include: Amy Thatcher & Francesca Knowles, Annie Dressner, Chris Cleverley, Chris Fox, Clara Mann, Coruja Jones, Eliza Marshall, George Boomsma, Hannah Scott, Heather Ferrier, Jon Wilks, Katie O’Malley, Katie Spencer, Kirk McElhinney, Man The Lifeboats, Me Lost Me, Nunnery Norheim, Ruth Lyon, Sally in the Woods, The Dove & The Dragon, The Often Herd.

An opportunity exclusive to Festival Wristband holders is an afternoon of International Folk Concerts on Saturday 21st October. The international artists performing are:
From South Korea: Gonia, Gray By Silver, groove&
From Sweden, FRÄNDER, Northern Resonance, Symbio
From Flanders (presented by Festival Dranouter), Broes, Marvara, Tom Theuns & Aurélie Dorzée

FREE FESTIVAL PROGRAMME

New to the festival this year is a free programme of events, which so far includes free live music every day at the Band on the Wall Bar Stage, and traditional music sessions next door at The Smithfield Market Tavern.
